E-business

Atlas Copco Connect is the Group's e-business application. Through a common page, data from all divisions regarding products, pricing, deliveries etc. can be accessed, enabling a potential one-stop-shop for customers buying from several divisions. Atlas Copco Connect is available in many languages, and the number is increasing.

Customer financing

Atlas Copco Customer Finance is the Group’s internal finance company, offering financing to customers of Atlas Copco Group.

Using Atlas Copco’s market knowledge and with a focus on the Group's products and consumables, the mission is to help customers find the best payment terms with respect to their specific needs in terms equipment, business requirements and local market conditions.

Through Atlas Copco sales channels, it can offer a wide range of finance solutions adapted to each local market, including leasing, supplier credits and various types of project financing.

Distribution

A top priority for customers is reliable delivery. By eliminating local inventories and focusing on lean and flexible production, Atlas Copco is striving for excellent delivery service.

Atlas Copco has a few well-established distribution centers both in Europe and the United States. These centers specialize in the entire outbound logistics chain and are responsible for all administration of goods, from the time they enter the warehouse, to the time they reach the customer.

On a personalized site, the customer can track the location of their order and shipment - all the way from ordering to delivery.

Purchasing

Atlas Copco has a decentralized structure and there is no central purchasing function in the Group. Instead, each business area has a set up an efficient purchasing function to fulfill the needs of their production units and other operations. Suppliers interested in a cooperation are asked to directly contact the company that they want to do business with.

For purchase of non-core items such as IS/IT and travel, Atlas Copco has a global purchasing organization, based in Belgium.

Suppliers and sub-contractors are evaluated and selected on the basis of quality, delivery and price, as well as on their commitment to social performance and development. For more on this, see the sustainability report.
